Job Description

Stearns Lending, a multistate lender, specializing in Conventional, Jumbo and FHA/VA’s, offers exceptional support and service. We are looking for experienced FHA Direct Endorsement Underwriters who are self motivated, detail-oriented, responsible individuals to join a rapidly expanding, fast-paced operation. Underwriters are required to analyze income, assets, and collateral to verify loans meet the minimum lender, investor and government program guidelines for approval and ensure that all loans approved are of the highest quality.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 5 years underwriting experience
- All government designations (FHA/DE and VA/LAPP Certified)
- 3 years AUS experience
- Demonstrate High Volume Productivity
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Detail Oriented and multi-tasked
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of personal and business financial analysis
- Knowledge and proficiency in all levels of mortgage underwriting including Government, Agency and Jumbo lending
