Primary Characteristics
This individual is responsible for the management of the Loss Mitigation department. The position requires daily interaction with mortgagors, investors, insurers, and attorneys. This role requires in depth knowledge of the loss mitigation process and all associated regulatory guidelines.
Essential Functions
* Oversee workflow, productivity and employee performance
* Identify and implement solutions to improve processes with emphasis on reducing risk and improving efficiency
* Ensure loss mitigation workout solutions are conducted within all investor and insurer guidelines Provide feedback to senior management on issues negatively impacting compliance with regulations
* Handle any escalated issues and/or special requests from investors or insurers
* Aggressively manage the caseload to ensure investor and insurer target goals are obtained. Utilize all available tools to solicit loans and achieve desired results.
* Ensure proper quality control processes to prevent audit findings
* Keep informed of portfolio changes or investor/insurer updates and take required action as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
* Demonstrated managerial skills experience
* Must feel at ease working with Sr. Management and posses excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Analytical ability to resolve issues and develop policies and procedures
* Motivated self-starter that will assume leadership role and has ability to work with minimal supervision
Training and Experience
* College education a plus
* Minimum of five years experience in default servicing
* Minimum of 2 years loss mitigation management experience preferred
* Be familiar with mortgage servicing requirements
* Be familiar with government, GSE, and private servicing guidelines
* Have extensive knowledge of Fidelity’s MSP system
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Knowledge of Fidelity’s Passport tool
