Mortgage Services-
“Real Estate Settlement and Default Services - valuation, field services, real estate asset management and sales, settlement services, default services and component services
“Origination Services - all of the services required to support the origination process from a broker, banker and correspondent perspective
Technology Products - residential and commercial loan servicing, loss mitigation, vendor management and electronic invoice presentment and payment software
Financial Services - receivables and customer relationship management
This position reports directly to the Director of Underwriting and Due Diligence and will be responsible for developing and enhancing Altisources FHA Quality Control (QC) plan.
Responsibilities will include:
“Develop and manage an exemplary QC business unit that complies with FHA and individual investor guidelines
“Partner with Senior Management in developing the QC business unit by defining processes, evaluating technology, and providing constructive feedback with respect to systems requirements, personnel and staffing and other related topics.
“Create training programs to quickly and efficiently train QC underwriters with limited or no prior FHA experience
“Review loans to ensure compliance with FHA and investor guidelines
“Responsible for auditing, researching and re-verifying of residential loan files after closing
“Examine income/assets and credit worthiness of each loan file
“Reviewing loan files for compliance with RESPA ( GFE and HUD) , REG Z, Privacy Act
“Experience in collateral review and appraisal evaluations
“Utilize web based fraud and compliance tools
“Evaluate performance of QC underwriters and provide remedial training as necessary.
“Provide assistance to those responsible for the development of comprehensive sales and marketing campaigns focusing on securing business with both internal and third-party clients
“Work closely with the business development staff to identify potential markets, product enhancements and cross selling opportunities
Key Result Areas:
“Maximize efficiencies by augmenting existing technologies to improve QC performance within the first 90 days.
“Develop relationships with key client decision makers throughout the U.S. and sell them on FHA QC solutions
“Meet productivity and qualify targets as directed by senior management
“Develop new product and services to enhance our competitive position in the marketplace
Skills:
Qualifications:
“Must be a current Direct Endorsement underwriter with a valid DE/CHUMS ID
“Two years plus underwriting experience of FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC
“Possess current in-depth experience and complete knowledge of FHA lending guidelines
“Recent experience training/mentoring FHA and conventional QC underwriters
“FHA and conventional mortgage processing/underwriting background
“Ability to work with sense of urgency and meet or exceed strict timelines
“Excellent verbal and written communication skills
“Detail oriented and strong analytical ability
“Advanced computer skills with knowledge of PC applications and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
“Requires a minimum of ten plus years of underwriting and quality control experience with a strong track record of success
“The candidate must display excellent verbal and written communication skills
“A four-year degree from an accredited university is required
“VA Automatic and LAP is a strong plus
