The successful candidate will be Responsible for the underwriting of mortgage files, including adverse action when necessary. Responsible for quality of loans processed and underwritten. Responsible for Loan Prospector Data Integrity. Approves mortgages within established credit limits and makes recommendations for mortgages in excess of established lending authority. Data entry of mortgage application information into computer system. Responsible for tracking and follow up of outstanding documents needed to finalize a mortgage loan. Maintains working knowledge of Secondary Market requirements, including automated underwriting. Maintains working knowledge of Federal and State Lending Regulations. Requests appropriate services required for new mortgage loan applications, such as appraisal, credit report, flood determination, mortgage insurance, etc. Ensures that documents required by Truth in Lending and RESPA are issued in accordance with current regulations.

Ideal candidates will have Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum 2 years experience in Secondary Market mortgage underwriting required. FHA DE Underwriter required. Experience with automated mortgage processing system preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with the flexbility to work additional hours including evenings and weekends as needed is required.
