Description FHA Underwriter
This position is responsible for evaluating loan files for acceptability with company guidelines, agency regulations or government guidelines. Our ideal candidate will be willing to work hard, share his/her knowledge and experience as an FHA underwriter to assist us in refining our lending guidelines and credit policies, and serving as an information source for less experienced employees. M&I Home Lending Solutions is a wholesale mortgage company seeking experienced FHA Underwriters for their Urbandale, IA location. M&I Home Lending Solutions is owned by M&I Bank of Milwaukee, WI, which is a 162-year-old bank holding company with over $62 billion in assets.
Requirements At least three years experience as FHA underwriter. Must be FHA / DE approved. VA underwriting experience a plus. Detail-oriented. Must have the ability to work in a production-oriented environment, but still maintain high standards of accuracy.
