FHA/VA Loan Coordinator

Job Description:

We are openly seeking experienced mortgage individuals with an uncompromising work ethic in a friendly and goal oriented environment.
We are currently looking for an experienced Loan Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years experience.
Job Description:
“Call out the approval and thank the broker for business. Ask if they have any other loans to submit.
“Get conditions, review them and make sure all are in the file before passing to UW for review.
“Responsible for tracking all communication with set up, brokers, UW and doc drawers in regards to files.
“Call on all files with no movement in the past 5 days. Follow up within 3 days if no response.
“If appraisal comes back at lower value than expected the LC is to explain the rebuttal process to the broker.
“If the broker wants to rework the file the LC is to pass the file and broker off to the UW ensuring that UW responds to brokers request within 24 hours and work to get the docs out.
“Get doc requests from the brokers and complete DataTrac screens, preparing the file for docs.
“Send files with all conditions signed off to QC and follow up with QC to take the file to Doc Department afterward.
“Call on all files that are locked but do not have docs out within 48 hours of locking. (then again in 5 days)
“Call on all files with appraisals back over 48 hours that are not locked.
“Once a file is deemed dead by a broker or AE the LC must cancel the file within 24 hours. Files must be cancelled within 30 days if no activity.
“Communicate with UW priority of files for condition review. (ie: locked files, purchases)
“If files are sent to docs without all PTD conditions signed off the LC MUST communicate with the Funder, UW, broker and AE to inform them of the missing item(s). The LC will be the main point of contact for any PTD items and will be responsible for clearing them with the UW.
Skills:
Qualified Applicants will have:
“College degree or equivalent work experience in mortgagebanking industry (2+ years)
“MUST have Government experience
“Great analytical skills
“Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the mortgage-banking industry
“Expertise in and experience providing value-added customer service in a fast-paced environment
“Experience using automated financial- and/or loan-tracking systems
“Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with customers
and realtors
