Mortgage Underwriter 3

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for underwriting residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with bank, FHA/VA, and secondary market standards.
- Will be responsible for mortgage loans of the most complex nature including conventional, FHA and VA, bond/housing authority, and non-conforming loans.
- May be required to assist in the training of less experienced underwriters and residential origination staff members.
- Communicates with Processors, Originators, and other internal and external customers.
- Meets performance standards and goals established by the bank.

Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of mortgage loan underwriting experience

Preferred skills:

- Mortgage loan underwriting experience within the last year
- DE and/or LAPP certification is highly preferred
